More Academy success as Jesse and Pierre pass Argyle trials

EVERYONE at Saints Southwest was delighted to hear that a pair of this season's Academy Under-8s have had successful trials at Plymouth Argyle.

Jesse and Pierre have now both joined the Academy set-up at Home Park as they make the transition into Under-9s – becoming the latest players to make the step from Saints Southwest to a professional club.

On Jesse's success, Saints Southwest Football Development Manager Mike Berry said: "We are delighted that Jesse has signed for a a professional club.

"Since the moment Jesse joined us we could see he was going to progress into a real talent. Jesse had an obsession with scoring goals and beating players in 1v1 situations which as coaches was always an enjoyable watch!

"We wish Jesse all the best and we look forward to seeing him at fixtures in the coming season."

And following Pierre's successful trial, Berry added: "All of the Saints Southwest coaches are incredibly proud of Pierre for progressing into Academy football.

"From a very young age Pierre has shown an obsession with improving all areas of his game, which made him a delight to coach as he listened and applied coaching points really well. We are all excited to hear about how Pierre progresses with PAFC."
