In recent weeks, the Football Development programme in Devon has been buzzing with excitement following the news of Mario Dache, signing for Plymouth Argyle Academy following a successful trial. Mario’s journey to Plymouth is just the latest chapter in the success story of Saints Southwest’s partnership with Plymouth Argyle which continues to produce top-tier footballing talent.
Mario Dache, Plymouth Argyle Under 14
Mario Dache has gained recognition following a fantastic few seasons as part of the Saints Southwest Devon Academy side where he has demonstrated natural flair for the game, a keen eye for goal and shown all the makings of a future footballing star. Mario’s coach with the Saints Southwest Devon Under 14s Academy team, Jordan Williams was over the moon with the news and here is what he had to say about Mario’s signing:
“I am delighted that Mario has signed for Plymouth Argyle” Jordan said. “I have had the pleasure of working with Mario during his time with Saints Southwest and he has been a key player amongst my squad for a number of seasons.”
“Since I first met Mario, it was clear that he has a natural talent but also, a superb work ethic which has allowed him to make this next step. I wish him all the best for the future and I will be keeping a close eye on his progress.”
Argyle’s director of academy recruitment, Adam Hayman, who is also a director at Saints Southwest, added “It is really good to see yet another talented player make the the step from Saints Southwest into Plymouth Argyle’s academy set up.”
“This is the latest example of the two organisations’ close working relationship benefitting players and giving them access to an extended football development pathway.”
Mario Dache’s recent signing for Argyle’s under-14s is a remarkable achievement for the talented midfield. His journey from Saints Southwest to the green and white of Plymouth Argyle is a testament to his dedication, hard work and undeniable skill on the football pitch.
